"I write music but hardly create it. For me, composing is more like mining than creation: digging for precious veins and following wherever they lead. These precious veins, like those in mountains, were there long ago. So, the past is plainly audible in my music. Yet composing is not imitation of the past, easy, or unconscious. It takes trouble to find what has long existed and may prevail. Someone once said music should ignite the divine fire in Mankind. I hope this music does that for you."

A fun, richly illustrated course for children and curious readers of all ages.
